As part of Crimson’s Operations & Execution Services, Consultant needed to serve and evaluate our shrink-wrap software companies direct online commerce in the education market for pre-packaged software.
In this role, the consultant will work as part of a larger internal client team to evaluate our client’s direct online commerce capabilities; identify and document competitive best practices in online commerce, evaluate parallels between competitive best practices and our client’s online marketing practices and recommend options to improve results for the direct online commerce for our client. Key outcomes will include recommendations for our client to change marketing and selling programs to increase revenue in the education markets.
Consultant's responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Understanding our client’s successes using their current strategy in the education market by meeting with various marketing and channel organizations
- Evaluating and documenting our client’s successes in the commercial market and challenges in the education market in their respective online direct sales businesses
- Identifying the players in our client’s network who have experience with direct selling via the web with all levels of the education market
- Conducting research of packaged software vendors such as Adobe, Apple, HP, Microsoft, Symantec, MacAfee to determine best practices in the direct commerce to education market
- Defining parallels and differences in competitive approaches versus our client
- Identifying bridges and barriers to direct online marketing revenue growth for our client in the education market
- Providing recommendations on how to build these bridges and break down these barriers to achieve direct commerce growth
Must Have:
- 5+ years experience direct selling --via the web-- to levels of the education market including higher education, K-12, adult education, professional education, design schools and other education markets
- Experience in a direct selling or direct marketing role at a packaged software companies such as Adobe, Apple, HP, MacAfee, Microsoft, Symantec or similar
- An understanding of the best practices and best practice leaders in packaged software direct web sales
- A demonstrated ability to identify successes and challenges to drive successful web commerce
- A history of delivering increasing revenues in a direct selling role
- Examples of past project work identifying and building best practices
