#4223 Windows Server Licensing Subject Matter Expert

As part of Crimson’s Opportunity Analysis Services, our firm is structuring a project focused on assessing the Windows Server Licensing and Software Asset Management (SAM) customer needs. Project activities include an assessment of current Enterprise customer awareness of, understanding of and compliance with, Windows Server licensing requirements for Windows Server running on both physical machines and vitrual instances. Consultant should have deep knowledge of Windows Server products, licensing options, virtualization practices, and Enterprise customer needs.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

• Provide subject matter expertise in interviews with internal Crimson Team, as well as Client Stakeholders at multiple levels within the client organization
• Summarize key licensing compliance challenges and opportunities to improve licensing compliance
• Review interviews conducted with sample Enterprise customers and summarize customer awareness, understanding, and compliance
• Create and refine recommendations to increase licensing compliance, or reduce mislicensing (underlicensingand overlicensing) within Enterprise customers

MUST HAVE:

• 5+ years experience with Windows Server Licensing
• Deep and current knowledge of the range of Windows Server products and licensing options

STRONGLY PREFER:

• Experience consulting to multiple Windows Server customers on licensing compliance and/or SAM (Software Asset Management)

Location: Remote, (any location)
Duration: 1-2 months (part-time)
