#4279 Online IT Engagement – Desktop Virtualization

As part of Crimson’s Interactive Service, Consultant needed to perform Online IT Engagement focused on desktop virtualization. Consultants will focus on creating brand and product awareness for our clients’ current and upcoming product releases through targeted postings geared to an IT professional audience. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role where the ideal candidate will have previous experience communicating with an IT professional audience and seeding content on communities and social networks. This role requires knowledge of desktop virtualization as well as the ability to communicate professionally online.

This project will include but will not be limited to:

• Conduct on-going communication/ conversation through blogging, posting, tracking, and commenting using social media tools
• Review client’s marketing and technical materials and extracting content to use in postings
• Seed content across numerous targeted social media sites
• Monitor social media sites and respond to postings about the clients products

MUST HAVE:

• Experience working with Windows 7 and desktop virtualization
• 1-3 years experience in an online communications role (support, sales, marketing)
• Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in: Microsoft Office with at least a working understanding of HTML and Photoshop (or similar)
• Active social media experience and use of social media networks such as: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIN, YouTube, Myspace, etc
• Experience posting, blogging and/ or content seeding
• Extensive experience participating in forums with a technical audience

STRONGLY PREFER:

• Prior experience working for F1000 High-Tech company such as: Microsoft and / or working extensively with Microsoft desktop software
• MCSE-level expertise
• Deep understanding / experience regarding virtualization and optimizing desktop application performance
• Extensive experience with Twitter
• Familiarity with social media monitoring tools such as TruCast (Visible Technologies) and / or radian6

Location: Remote, (off-site flexibility)
Duration: 4 – 5 months, (part-time initially, with potential to become full-time)
