As part of Crimson’s Interactive Services, Consultant need for a quantitative analytics role for a market leading online portal. This role will be part of and in support of regional Planning Team with responsibility for broad web analytics, performance data management, ongoing online data analysis and reporting.
This project will include but will not be limited to:
- Monitoring online data and results
- Preparing ad hoc data analysis and analyzing results
- Ad hoc reporting and communicating results of data analysis and trends to planning management team
- Explore, identify and implement evolving online performance metrics, analysis
- Use regular reports / analysis to derive more rigorous insights and analysis
MUST HAVE:
- 3+ years experience in planning, product marketing, product management and / or business analysis role with particular experience in online and ad hoc quantitative analysis
- Proven experience in conducting analytical support for business performance and / or online key performance indicators
- Awareness of web analysis indicators and vendors such as Omniture data, Nielsen, comScore, etc
- Understanding of business intelligence and / or competitive data analysis
- Proven experience in undertaking and completing project-related assignments and deliverables
- Demonstrated financial modeling experience and understanding / ability to extract appropriate data from P&L and related financial statements
- Ad hoc report development and modeling including ability to 1) make complex Excel models simple to understand and use, 2) understand basic statistics, and 3) conduct single-variable regression analysis (such as that which can be accomplished via Excel)
- A demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of the online ad hoc data analysis, deriving strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, and making data actionable through interpretation, hypothesis development, and drawing conclusions – tell a story from the analysis
STRONGLY PREFER:
- Experience working with top notch web properties including portals, eCommerce, and / or media industry leaders such as Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, Intuit, Amazon, eBay, AOL, Walt Disney, Comcast, Time Warner, Viacom
- Experience in a software marketing or significant consulting experience with providers of marketing consulting to technology companies (such as RB Webber, McKenna Group, Accenture, McKinsey, IBM Global Services, or similar)
- Experience conducting business intelligence and / or competitive data analysis, in particular, online competitive / comparative / quantitative analysis
Location: Seattle Area, (full-time, on-site)
Duration: One-year, (potential to develop into a long-term opportunity)
