Simply fill out the on-line form, and then paste your current resume text into the appropriate field. The whole thing will take less (probably MUCH less) than 10 minutes.
Your profile will then be reviewed by a member of our team, and if you meet our registration requirements, you will receive a welcome letter confirming your registration in a few days.
If you have any additional questions, or trouble registering, please contact Consultant Services at 650.960.3600.
Good luck and thanks for your interest in Crimson!

I filled out your form, but your server tells me that I have to enter a First Name. I did this whats wrong?
Youve run into a problem that some users of Internet Explorer 5 have encountered. We are working on a fix, but in the meantime, there are two workarounds:
|
|
If you have access to another browser (either Netscape or an earlier version of Internet Explorer), register with that one.
|
|
|
|
If not, please follow these steps:
-
Fill out the form, except for the resume section (if you linked to this page from the form, just hit the Back button on your browser).
-
Print out the form, and fax it to Consultant Services at 650.960.3737.
-
Email your resume text (no attachments or formatting, please we cant use them) to consultants@crimson-consulting.com.

Why cant I paste my resume text into the area provided?
We have had reports of certain browsers (frequently, but not always, the AOL 3.0 browser) not pasting text into the resume field when you use a keyboard shortcut (such as Ctrl-V or Shift-Insert) or menu command (such as Edit | Paste) to paste. In these cases, many users have had luck by copying their resume text to the clipboard in the usual way, left-clicking once in the resume text area, and then right-clicking and selecting Paste from the pop-up menu.

The system limits me to eight companies (or technologies, or markets/industries, or functions). I am a very experienced consultant and have more expertise than this. How can I give Crimson that information?
Through your full-text resume. We would like you to indicate with the checkboxes, the areas in which you have the MOST experience. However, we can do full-text searches, and will always be able to pick up more comprehensive information that way.

In addition to my resume, I use a consulting backgrounder and have a list of recent consulting projects. How can I get this information to Crimson?
Include it in the text box along with your resume. We often find this information very useful, especially if you have been consulting for a number of years. The best way to handle this information is to simply paste it into the text box, at the end of your chronological resume. If we have any questions, or need more information, well contact you.

How will I know Im in the system?
If you fit the basic Crimson criteria, you will receive a Welcome to Crimson letter within a week of your registration.
|
|

|
 |
Will I be able to edit (or update) my information, once Ive provided it to you?
Not yet, but soon! Were working on a second phase of the system that will allow you to modify your record, and hope to have that ready soon.

I tried and tried to get to your registration system, but I kept getting a server not responding message. What should I do?
The registration server is occasionally removed from service to perform maintenance and software updates. These off-line periods are usually very brief (less than 5 minutes). The best thing to do is try again in a few minutes. If you find that the server is unavailable for an extended period of time, please send an email message to the Webmaster.
Please note, however, that the registration system is generally not available from 11:00 PM 4:00 AM each evening, for system maintenance and backup.
