Rick Sklarin - Partner
Rick Sklarin, a former partner at Accenture’s Communications and High Tech Strategy and Business Architecture Practice, is an expert in developing marketing growth strategies for the mobility and software sectors. He has provide marketing strategy consulting to the world’s leading technology companies for over 20 years. Rick leads the Mobility Service line at Crimson and is the lead partner for clients such as Adobe Systems, BEA, Business Objects, Check Point Technology Systems, Microsoft, Palm, QAD and Siemens. At Accenture, Rick led the launch of numerous mobile services including Sprint PCS, Cox PCS and Virgin Mobile USA. He was the lead partner for Accenture’s $107M account with Sprint, and also provided strategy, marketing and operations consulting for Accenture clients such as Adobe Systems, Clarify (now Amdocs), Palm, SBC, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Excite@Home. After Accenture, Rick was Vice President, Operations with the Walt Disney Company where he developed operating and IT strategies and plans to launch Disney Mobile and Mobile ESPN. After that, he was senior vice president and managing director at Cymbal Corporation of Fremont, CA, a $33 million consulting and IT services firm targeting mobile carriers. Rick also held leadership positions at A.T. Kearny/EDS Management Consulting where he provided expertise in strategic marketing, mergers and acquisitions, re-engineering, operations and IT to major telecommunications clients such as US West, Pacific Telesis and Pacific Bell. Rick started his consulting career with Putnam, Hayes and Bartlett, a consulting firm focused on telecommunications and electric utilities. Rick received an MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he was elected to the Beta Gamma Sigma honors society. He earned his B.A. in Economics from Stanford University. Rick is a master scuba diver, an avid ice hockey player and referee, and competitive youth soccer referee. Rick also serves as president of the San Francisco Bay West Highland White Terrier Club. |
