Professional Background
Dylan Charles is a former Partner at KPMG (BearingPoint) and The McKenna Group, and has over 20 years of strategy and planning experience in a range of industries including high technology, telecommunications, media, and consumer products. His expertise includes market analysis and strategy development, positioning strategy, market infrastructure planning including Web and customer/partner management systems, and operations strategy.

Dylan has advised technology companies including Cisco, HP, Hitachi, Ingram Micro, Microsoft, and Motorola. He has developed market positioning and launch strategies for media industry clients from Creative Artist Agency and Broderbund to National Geographic and PBS. He has also worked with telecommunications equipment and services providers such as GTE, Hughes DirectPC, SBC, US West (Qwest) and others.

Prior to joining Crimson, Dylan was partner in charge of the McKenna Group's San Francisco office and shared responsibility for international partner firm relationships, including a range of SI and design partners. Previously he established and managed the Strategy and Implementation Planning Group within KPMG's Metrius practice, recognized by Forrester Research as one of the premier strategy teams in the industry. Dylan also has experience with startups in the consumer products and enterprise software industries.

Dylan has a BA from Tufts University and an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.

Personal
Dylan is an avid outdoorsman, counting mountaineering, mountain biking, telemarking, surfing, fly-fishing, and sailing (including trans-Atlantic crossings) among his interests.
