Crimson worked with a Fortune 50 storage provider to create a strategy identifying social marketing opportunities with their solution provider partners. The client's goal was to explore less traditional marketing vehicles to communicate thier unique value propositions to their channels.

  • Help our client explore the use of social media as a means to engage in a conversation with solution providers
  • Establish value add among solution providers by providing greater access to technical, product and solution based information via Forums, Blogs, Communities and other social tools
  • Enable our client to communicate a unified business/value proposition to solution providers
  • Monitor the conversation ecosystem on storage
  • Identify the online influencers in the storage space and determine the most effective way to work with them

SOLUTIONS

  • Conducted market research and quantitative studies to understand how social media is used in IT and the storage industry
  • Assessed industry and corporate web site to develop best practices in user interface and social marketing execution
  • Created social media user profiles within storage to guide social marketing recommendations, mapping back to user needs
  • Created a social marketing plan for our client

RESULTS

  • Successfully launched the first "corporate blogger" for our client and currently the client is in progress of launching an extended blogging program
  • Assisting with social media plan implementation and marketing execution to support initiatives
  • First "corporate blogger" was ranked in the Top 10 among storage bloggers
