Web Development for Digital Entertainment Service

Crimson supported Hewlett-Packard (HP) with the development, building and execution of a digital media web presence including information architecture, e-commerce, merchandising, content management and other infrastructure elements.

CHALLENGE

HP wanted to quickly build-out a digital media web solution for customers and in particular for Wal-Mart, their initial beta customer, Existing partners did not have the depth of experience required to support HP for this project.

SOLUTIONS

Crimson provided the deep expertise needed to address the information architecture, design, user interface, and other requirements of HP’s unique broadband solution. Specifically, Crimson:

  • Developed significant elements of the information architecture design
  • Provided an analysis of the user interface including graphic design
  • Provided merchandising specialists to develop the overall merchandising plan
  • Provided a content management team to help establish the solution offering
  • Provided engineering implementation and product management leadership for the new site

RESULTS

Crimson enabled HP to:

  • Deliver a digital entertainment service to their customers and in the process, enabled the company to:
    1. Significantly reduce the cost of site development
    2. Improve the company’s expertise in the area of broadband digital media
