Crimson Consulting Group Announces Acquisition of Web Development Firm Division
Specific Impulse to Become Key Part of Crimson’s Interactive Services Business Unit
Los Altos, Calif. - September 27, 2007 - Crimson Consulting Group, a marketing strategy and implementation consulting firm, today announced the acquisition of the professional services division of Specific Impulse Inc., a prominent Silicon Valley web development and information architecture firm. Specific Impulse's professional services division will become a major component of Crimson's Interactive Services business unit. Crimson founder and CEO Glenn Gow notes, "We have been working closely with Specific Impulse for three years on major web projects for clients such as Seagate, HP, and Verizon. A Variety of Interactive Services OfferedAccording to Gow, the acquisition enhances Crimson’s interactive services practice by enabling the firm to offer clients a multitude of end-to-end services – from the design and delivery of traditional web sites, portals and extranets to Web 2.0 online communities and social networking, using a variety of platforms and technologies. Specific Impulse will retain its StageOne rapid development platform and other software intellectual property, and, as a Crimson alliance partner, will continue to offer application hosting and StageOne-powered web applications on a Software-as-a-Service model.
